PhD research grant SFRH/BD/47559/2008 – “Aplicação de processos físico-químicos (coagulação-floculação) e químicos (oxidação) nas águas residuais geradas na produção do “Queijo SerpaFundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia(Portugal), under the QREN–POPH. Doctoral thesis development (“Tratamientos integrados aplicados a aguas residuales procedentes de pequeñas y medianas queserías”) on wastewater treatment from small and medium plants of cheese: physical-chemical and biological processes. Sludge and treated wastewater management: agricultural application of sludge and reuse of treated wastewater resulting from precipitation processes for the tomato/lettuce irrigation. Effects on the growth and yield of the plants. Equally responsible for the teaching of laboratory techniques to students of Technological Specialization Course in Environmental Quality, Graduation in Environmental Engineering, master´s degree in Environmental Engineering and international trainings. Monitoring and/or development of laboratory tests of trainings.
